Bio

Matt hails from the raining plains and rocky crags of Sunderland, northern England. Originally a French language student from the University of Edinburgh, he studied political science in Rennes, France, where survived on ham and cheese baguettes as an Orwellian plongeur. Arriving in Chile in September 2009 to reside with his significant other, he has since discovered the delights of chorrillana and la palta del campo and is always up for an asado, as long as he can smuggle in some Worcestershire sauce.

Matt loves old films, cooking and dancing to electro. His favorite past times in Santiago include running up San Cristobal on a Sunday morning, haggling for fruit at the Vega market and getting out of the city whenever possible to head south.
